You should have a walk around view of the unit you are going to purchase. Don’t let a salesperson talk you into buying a timeshare without giving it a thorough expectation. Buying on impulse is a guaranteed path to buyer’s remorse. The salesman’s job is to sell the unit, and they can mislead, including room size, exact location, amenities offered, etc. It’s your job to make sure the salesman is accurate.
Another problem many owners run into is finding the week they desire already being used. It is important to ask when the earliest date is available to make your reservation. Since it is in human nature to procrastinate, you will have the heads up on everyone else if you know when to book, and book early.
If you buy a timeshare, use the same kind of caution you would buying a new car. You will be happier if you do.
